02-07-08: Mat just took Bellagio to Blewbury EC today, to jump a British Novice, they jumped a lovely double clear to finish 2nd.
24-06-08: Mat took Teddy and Bellagio to Addington Manor EC today to jump the British Novice and Discovery classes, both horses went double clear in the British Novice and Bellagio finished in 7th.
18-06-08: Today Mat took Cordy to Patchetts to jump the newcomers, she jumped a lovely double clear and finished just out of the placings, which was just what we were aiming for as we would like to get her Newcomer double clears for 2009 before she goes out of Newcomers money.
03-06-08: Mat took CVS Hot Business (Teddy) to Bromyard EC today, to compete in his first ever Elementary BD tests, Teddy achieved in the low 60%'s in both tests finishing in 3rd and 5th place, very respectable for his first outing at Elementary level and we are sure he will be getting well into the 70's once he is more established at this level.
27-05-08: Mat took Cordy to Summerhouse EC today, just to jump the Newcomers, she jumped a lovely double clear to finish 5th, this double clear qualified her for the Newcomer Regional Finals for 2008, meaning that since moving to Mat in September she has gone from jumping British Novice to qualifying for the Regional Finals in British Novice, Discovery and Newcomers.
24-05-08: Cordy and Bellagio went to Patchetts EC today with Mat to compete in the British Novice regional finals, Bellagio had a couple of unlucky poles in the first round but we were delighted with him as he had never jumped a course this big before and Corsy jumped a lovely clear to get into the second round, the competition was extremely tight and unfortunately she had a pole in the jump off but finished 12th overall out of 90 starters.
14-05-08: Mat took Cordy to the Hand EC today, just to jump the one class, the Newcomers, she jumped a lovely double clear to finish 4th.
10-05-08: CVS Bellagio, CVS Sunkist (Kizzy) and Renkum Corlandia went to Summerhosue EC BSJA today, Bellagio and Kizzy jumped in the British Novice and Discovery classes, Bellagio jumped two super double clears to finish 5th in the British Novice and 4th in the Discovery, a carbon copy of his results from 6th May and Kizzy has a pole in the first round of the British Novice and had a couple of poles in the jump off of the Discovery but jumped superbly and was just looking a little tired in the jump off, we were very delighted with her though as it was only her 2nd ever show! They then went home and Cordy was bought back for the Newcomers, Cordy was being a little hormonal in the Newcomers and had an unusual pole in the first round, so we entered her in the 1.15 open, as we didn't have time to wait for the Foxhunter class, where she jumped a super double clear but was unfortunately just out of placings on time, but we all had a super day in the sunshine!

06-05-08: Bellagio, Teddy and Cordy went to Summerhouse EC with Mat today, Bellagio and Teddy jumped in the British Novice and Discovery classes, Bellagio jumped double clear in both and finshed 5th in the British Novice and 4th in the Discovery and Teddy had a pole in the jump off of the British Novice and a pole in the first round of the Discovery class but he showed an improvement from Hartpury and we are really excited that he is going to do well in BSJA as well as BD. The boys were then dashed home and Cordy was bought back in time for the Newcomers, she jumped a fantastic double clear to finish 2nd, so a great end to a good day of jumping.

03-05-08: CVS Bellagio and CVS Hot Business (Teddy) went to Hartpury BSJA today, both horses jumped in the British Novice and Discovery classes, Bellagio had an unlucky pole in both jump offs and Teddy had a pole in the first round of the British Novice and a pole in the jump off of the Discovery but we were delighted with both horses as Bellagio jumped beautifully and it just wasn't his day today and this was Teddy's first ever show jumping competition and both poles were genuine baby mistakes and he really tried his heart out.
30-04-08: Mat took CVS Bellagio to the Hand EC to try and get the last double clear he required to qualify for the British Novice second rounds for 2008, Bellagio jumped a super double clear to get his qualification and will now be jumping int he second rounds with Renkum Corlandia.
22-04-08: CVS Bellagio and CVS Sunkist jumped BSJA with Mat at Summerhouse today, both jumped beautiful double clears top finish 3rd and 6th respectively in the British Novice, a great result especially as it was CVS Sunkist's first ever competition.
15-04-08: CVS Bellagio jumped BSJA at Summerhouse today, he jumped a lovely steady double clear in the British Novice to finish 7th.
9 to13-04-08: Cordy competed at the Winter Show Jumping Championships (Blue Chip Championships).
She jumped a beautiful clear in the Power Championship with Mat (1.15m 1st round) to get into the 37 horse jump off, she unfortunately had 2 poles in the jump off but finished twenty something out of nearly 90 starters. Cordy then jumped in the Discovery Championship (1.05m 1st round), she again jumped a lovely clear round to get into the jump off but sadly took 2 poles in the jump off, we were still delighted as she finished twenty something out of over 100 starters.
Cordy then jumped a Newcomers later in the week but unforunately had the first fence down to finish with 4 faults.
5-4-08: Cordy jumped at BSJA Summerhouse today with Mat, she jumped a beautiful double clear to finish 2nd in Newcomers.
17-03-08: Mat took Teddy to the SHB(GB) grading at Addington Manor. Teddy was really well behaved and passed the grading comfortably. We were delighted with his marks, which included an 8.5 for paces, carriage and elasticity!
15-03-08: Cordy competed at West Wilts EC today in the Newcomer/Blue Chip Power Qualifier. She jumped a beautiful clear first round and was 8th to go in the 17 horse jump off. Mat decided to go for a clear with one turn rather that go for a win and she jumped a fantastic second round to finish 7th, qualifying her for the Blue Chip Championships again. We were delighted as this means she is jumping in 2 championships at Blue Chip now.
08-03-08: Today Loheky Helios de Bornival and CVS Hot Business attended the Willesley Equine Clinic Stallion Parade held at West Wilts EC. Both stallions were ridden by Mat and behaved beautifully. Both stallions were videoed and this videos can be viewed on You Tube by clicking here for Teddy, or here for Helios.
27-02-08: Mat competed Teddy and Cordy at Burrows Court Farm today. This was the first time that Cordy has ever competed in Dressage and she did two Preliminary tests scoring in the low 60s% for both. She had some really positive comments and we're hoping that she'll now progress quickly. Teddy competed in the open section of the two Novice classes they were running, scoring 68.4% in the first test, finishing second, and 70.83% in the second class finishing third.

21-02-08: Teddy did very well at the Regional Championships, which were held at Addington EC. After warming up beautifully, he entered the arena to compete in the Novice Freestyle section. He was a little frightened by all the flowers and three sets of judges and writers! Unfortunately his spookiness showed through ever so slightly, and this was reflected in his mark of 65.46%, finishing 11th in the class.
16-02-08: Cordy competed BSJA at West Wilts EC today, in the Discovery Blue Chip Qualifier, after a little flirting with a stallion in the warm up arena she settled really well and jumped a beautiful clear round. She was fairly early to go in the jump off but managed to go into the lead and stay there, winning the class and qualifying for the Blue Chip Championships.
14-02-08: Teddy competed at Home Farm EC in Cheltenham today. In his first Novice test he scored 68.8% and won the training section and would have won the Open section if he had been entered in it. Then he competed in his second Novice test, a Qualifier in which he scored 70.7%, winning the Open section, in a field of very nice young horses. He scored 8's for some of his canter work, his centre line and walk work. He has now qualified for the summer regionals.
10-02-08: Mat competed Renkum Corlandia (Cordy) BSJA at Hartpury College today. We arrived there a bit early so decided to jump the Discovery as well as the Newcomers. They did a beautiful double clear in the Discovery class and finished 2nd (with around 80 entries in the Discovery). They then jumped beautifully in the Newcomers class, but unfortuately had 4 faults but still finished 7th, so a very good day!
06-02-08: Teddy broke the 70% barrier today, gaining 73% in the training section of Novice 28 and 70.9% and 3rd place in the open section of Novice 32 Qualifier at Burrows Court. He gained lots of 8's including for his canter.
02-02-08: Teddy went to Hartpury College to do Novice 38. His improved balance and way of going earned him 67.4% and first place in the open section.
14-12-07: JL's Spyder won the Medium and his Advanced Medium debut today at Summerhouse EC. He coped very well with the changes and we can see him achieving some excellent scores at this level once he is more experienced.
02-11-07: CVS Hot Business won Novice 38 but is not quite balanced enough yet to acheive a qualifying score for the Regionals. However, he gained some very positive comments from the judge.
20-10-07: Mat took JL's Spyder for the Elementary Freestyle at Bromyard. Spyder came 2nd with 72.1%, qualifying for the Regional Finals.
19-10-07: We've now moved to the Aderro Dressage Centre. We would like to welcome our new groom - Holly. She will be assisting with the schooling of young horses and managing the yard. We would also like to thank Rhegan White and her team for making us so welcome at our new yard.
16-09-07: Mat took MFSS Raubritter and CVS Hot Business to Bromyard Equestrian Centre for the Elementary and Novice Freestyles. Both horses came 2nd in their respective classes, and qualified for the Regional Finals.
12-09-07: Mat took Rossgold Riva to the Hand Equestrian Centre for their first outing together. They came 2nd in both Advanced Medium classes.
04-09-07: Well we decided to be brave, and take all our babies out for their first ever show today! We took Lavender (aka quantum entanglement), Harvey (aka Orange Monster) owned by Rachel, and Teddy (aka CVS Hot Business) to Bromyard Equestrian Centre.
The first horse was Lavender, who was ridden by Rachel in P14. She took everything in her stride, and warmed up beautifully outside. When she went in the indoor arena she was terrified! She had never been indoors before, so had lots to look at!
She did some fab trot work, but couldn't get into canter! She was being far too nosey to do that!
Anyway the trot work made up for her lack of canter and she still got in the high 50's. Well done Rachel!
Next in was Harvey ridden by Mat in the same test. He was a star, but in the warmup he managed to pull off a shoe!
We decided to carry on anyway, as it didn't bother him, and he did a beautiful test and was unphased by everything.
We where very happy, but could not believe it when we went to pick up his score sheet and he had won the class overall with 69.4%! What a star!
Teddy was in P18. He also warmed up beautifully and coped really well with lots of mares in the warmup. He was terrified of the judges box in the arena, but got into the swing of things and did a nice test. He still finds the canter work hard as he has just had a growth spurt so is bum high at the moment. The judge commented on what a nice horse he is when we left te arena, and she gave him 65.4% and 3rd place in the open section.

03-04-07: Today was Merlin's (MFSS Raubritter) debut BSJA outing. He got a double clear in the British Novice class, and a clear and 4 faults in the Discovery class. He turned a lot of heads, displaying his bold careful jump. We are sure that once he has gained some more experience he will regularly be in the money!
28-03-07: We took Merlin (MFSS Raubritter) to Summerhouse EC to try two of the more advanced elementary tests, which included leg yielding and rein-back. He won both classes. Although there were lots of withdrawls, he certainly deserved his first win with 65.5%.
23-03-07: We took Merlin (MFSS Raubritter) to the Sports Horse Breeding of Great Britain (SHB GB) stallion grading, which was held at Addington. Merlin performed beautifully throughout, showing off his fabulous trot and conformation in trot-up, he jumped well under saddle, and in the loose jumping section, and showed off three excellent paces. Merlin graded comfortably, and was one of only seven stallions that did out of the 23 that were entered. Well done to Merlin, Mat & Jo: Merlin is now graded for life with the SHB.
05-02-07: We took Merlin to Hartpury today, and he won both the novice class, and his debut elementary class, both with excellent scores.
13-01-07: Mat & Merlin (MFSS Raubritter) continued their successful streak today at Hartpury College. They convincingly won both of the large novice classes, again gaining over 70%.
07-01-07: Mat & Merlin (MFSS Raubritter) had a great outing at Abbey today, gaining 1st place and qualification for the Summer Regionals with 74.8%. Mat reaped the benefits of working hard on Merlin's walk, gaining a 9 for his free walk in the test.
06-01-07: Boss arrived today from Holland, and is settling in nicely.
17-12-06: Mat and Rupert had a successful end to the year with a 2nd place in the Advanced Medium 86 at Summerhouse Equestrian Centre.
04-12-06: Mat and Merlin had an excellent day at Hartpury College EC on 2nd December. They came 1st in a large novice class with 70%.. Then in their first ever freestyle music class they acheived 68% coming third in the class and qualifying for the winter regionals gaining 9's for Merlin's medium trot.
24-11-06: Mat was invited to be taught Conrad Schumacher, the Sydney Olympics British Dressage Team coach, and one of the great trainers of our era. He had two sessions on Merlin (MFS Raubritter). They were extremely positive, and Conrad was very complimentary, not only about Merlin, but also about Mat's riding, and his training of young horses.
Also, Mat has had a really positive string of results on Merlin (MFS Raubritter) recently with several wins in Novice and Prelim tests.
22-09-06: Earlier this week, Atmosphere Equestrian and Mote Farm Stud were invited as VIPs to the Nationale Veulenveiling Prinsjesdag - a record breaking national foal auction in Holland. After viewing all 68 of the foals in the presentation section, we took a particular interest in the youngest colt, Boss SR (Numero Uno x Aldato).
We were lucky enough to win the bidding and are pleased to announce that Boss will be arriving at the yard in February 2007!
